Today I would like to talk about Personal Protective Equipment or Covering tools . Known in short form as PPE.
- PPE includes all those devices, accessories and clothing of various designs that the worker uses to protect himself against possible injuries.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is one of the most basic concepts in terms of safety in the workplace and is necessary when hazards have not been completely eliminated or controlled by other means such as: Engineering.
- Law 16,744 on Work-related Accidents and Diseases, in its Article nº 68 establishes that: “companies must provide their workers with the necessary protective equipment and implements, not being able to charge them in any way”.
Requirements of an E.P.P.
- Provide maximum comfort and its weight must be the minimum compatible with protection efficiency.
- You should not restrict the movements of the worker.
- It should be durable and, if possible, maintenance should be done in-house.
- Must be built in accordance with construction standards.
- It must have an attractive appearance.
Classification of the E.P.P.
1.Protection to the Head (skull).
2.Eye and Face Protection.
3.Ear Protection.
4. Protection of the Airways.
5. Protection of Hands and Arms.
6.Feet and Leg Protection.
7. Safety belts for work at height.
8.Work Clothes.
9. Protective Clothing.
Now a days an infectious disease caused and discover in whole world.
Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and will recover without requiring special treatment. Most of Older people and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illnesses.
The best way to prevent and delay transmission is to be well informed about the COVID-19 virus, the disease it causes, and how it spreads. Protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol-based disinfectant frequently and without touching your face.
The COVID-19 virus is spread mainly through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, so it is important that you also practice respiratory etiquette (for example, by coughing with your elbow flexed).

The World Health Organization has warned that the severe and growing disruption of the global supply of personal protective equipment (PPE), caused by increased demand, panic buying, hoarding and misuse, is putting lives at risk by the new corona virus and other infectious diseases.
Healthcare workers rely on personal protective equipment to protect themselves and their patients from infection and infect others.
